The DWX, Molded On the Actual Gun
The DWX borrows the 1911’s lockwork and the CZ’s frame, but its external dimensions belong to neither parent — which is why adapted holsters fail on it and why we mold it dedicated shells instead: the Full Size on the steel gun’s exact geometry, the Compact on the non-railed alloy carry version. Retention clicks on the trigger guard, suppressor-height sights clear as standard, and slide-mounted red dots are accommodated. Will a 1911 or CZ holster fit the DWX?
No — the DWX’s dimensions are its own, which is the entire reason we mold it dedicated shells. Ours are formed on the actual Full Size and non-railed Compact.
Do you support the railed DWX Compact?
Not currently — our Compact fitment covers the non-railed version. If yours wears a rail, contact us; demand decides what we mold next.
What about Dan Wesson’s 1911s — the Valor, Specialist, Vigil?
Covered — standard-pattern 1911s run in our 1911 catalog by configuration: 5″ Government railed or non-railed, 4.25″ Commander, and 3″ Ultra Carry. Select your barrel length and rail, and the shell fits your Dan Wesson by dimension.
Can I get a left-handed Dan Wesson holster?
Left-handed Daishō sidecar builds Quick Ship for both DWX models; left-hand IWB and Nidhogg aren’t currently offered. Contact us if you need one.
