Dan Wesson DWX Fitment & Compatibility
Our DWX holsters are molded on a dedicated full-size shell — the DWX is neither a 1911 nor a CZ at the dimensions a holster cares about, so nothing adapted was ever going to work. The steel frame, single-action hammer, and slide profile are all formed exactly, with suppressor-height sights clearing as standard and optic accommodation for slide-mounted red dots.
Running the DWX Compact? It has its own dedicated fitment — for the non-railed Compact specifically; the railed version isn’t currently supported. Select your exact model in the builder.
Carry Options for the Dan Wesson DWX
Inside the Waistband (IWB): All-steel single-action carry is a commitment, and the DWX crowd is committed — our IWB rig pairs it with an in-house concealment claw and your choice of injection-molded clips, heat-treated DCC Monoblock steel, or the NeoMag Alias system, with ride height and cant adjustment. Right-hand builds qualify for our fastest Quick Ship tier.
Nidhogg OWB: The competition crossover’s natural range home — the dedicated fitment outside the waistband, right-hand builds Quick Ship eligible.
Daishō AIWB Sidecar: Holster and magazine carrier bridged by a flexible Tegris wing with adjustable cant — the Daishō carries a dedicated DWX fitment, and left-handed builds are Quick Ship eligible.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a 1911 or CZ holster fit my DWX?
No — and this is the DWX’s whole holster problem: it borrows the 1911’s lockwork and the CZ’s frame, but its external dimensions are its own. Our shell is molded on the actual DWX.
Will this holster fit the DWX Compact?
No — the Compact is its own gun with its own dedicated fitment (non-railed version). Select your exact model in the builder.
Can I get a left-handed DWX holster?
Left-hand IWB and Nidhogg builds aren’t currently offered — but left-handed Daishō sidecar builds are, and they Quick Ship. If you need a left-hand configuration beyond that, contact us; demand decides what we mold next.
Can I get a light-bearing DWX holster?
Light fitments for the DWX aren’t currently in our builders — every DWX configuration is non-lightbearing, which also keeps it in our fastest production tiers.
