Custom KYDEX® 1911 Holsters

The 1911 isn’t a brand — it’s a pattern, a hundred and fifteen years old and made by everyone from Colt to your local custom shop. That’s exactly why holster fitment confuses people: it’s not about the name on the slide, it’s about the dimensions under it. ANR Design builds custom KYDEX® 1911 holsters precision-formed in Manchester, NH, organized the way the platform actually works — by barrel length and rail: 5″ Government with and without rail, 4.25″ Commander, and 3″ Ultra Carry / Defender-class, each on its own dedicated shell, plus dedicated fitments for the Sig Sauer 1911s — the TACOPS, Scorpion, and Nightmare — whose external-extractor slides fit nothing molded for the classic pattern. Suppressor-height sights and slide-milled optics clear as standard. Find your configuration below.

1911 Fitment — It’s the Dimensions, Not the Name

A Colt, a Springfield, a Kimber, and a Rock Island in the same configuration share the geometry a holster molds around — so our shells are organized by what the gun actually is: barrel length, dust cover, and rail. Pick your configuration below, and it covers the standard-pattern 1911s of that spec regardless of maker. The famous exception is Sig Sauer, whose 1911s wear a wider external-extractor slide that standard-pattern shells won’t retain — so we mold the Sig 1911s their own dedicated fitments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will your 1911 holster fit my Colt / Springfield / Kimber / Rock Island?

If it’s a standard-pattern 1911, yes — select your barrel length and rail configuration in the builder and the shell covers that spec across makers. Fitment follows dimensions, not the logo.

Why do Sig 1911s need their own holster?

Sig builds its 1911s with a wider, external-extractor slide — close enough to fool the eye, different enough that standard-pattern shells won’t retain them. Our TACOPS/Scorpion/Nightmare and X-Full fitments are molded on the actual Sig guns.

Does the railed Government holster fit a railless gun (or vice versa)?

No — the rail changes the dust cover geometry the shell indexes on, so railed and railless are separate dedicated fitments. Select yours specifically in the builder.

Do your 1911 holsters clear threaded barrels, tall sights, and red dots?

The open muzzle handles threaded barrels, and suppressor-height sights and slide-milled optics clear as standard on every shell.

Do you make 1911 magazine carriers?

Yes — single-stack 1911 magazines have a dedicated fitment in our Pistol Mag builder, built to pair with any holster above.

What warranty comes with a 1911 holster?

Every ANR Design holster includes a free Lifetime Warranty on the KYDEX® shell for the original purchaser — automatic on every order, no registration.
