ANR Design builds custom KYDEX® railed 1911 Government 5″ holsters precision-formed in Manchester, NH on a dedicated full-rail shell, with around twenty molded weapon-light fitments from the TLR-1 to the Surefire X300 series. Both right- and left-handed builds qualify for our fastest Quick Ship tier. One honest note before you build: this fitment is for full-length railed 1911s — Sig Sauer 1911s wear a proprietary slide and have their own dedicated fitment, and some Colt railed models run a shorter rail that this shell doesn’t cover. Railed 1911 Government Fitment — What Fits and What Doesn’t
Our 1911 Government 5″ w/ Rail shell is molded for standard-pattern Government slides with a full-length Picatinny rail — the Springfield Operator and TRP class of gun, and railed Governments from most major makers. Two exclusions, stated plainly: Sig Sauer 1911s wear Sig’s proprietary rounded slide and will not fit — they have their own dedicated fitment in our builders — and some Colt railed models use a shorter rail profile this shell doesn’t cover. If you’re unsure which rail your 1911 wears, contact us before ordering.
Every railed 1911 holster clears suppressor-height sights as standard, with optic accommodation for slide-milled red dots.
Carry Options for the Railed 1911 Government
Inside the Waistband (IWB): A steel Government carries flatter than its weight suggests — the single-stack slimness does the concealing, and our IWB rig does the rest: in-house concealment claw, your choice of injection-molded clips, heat-treated DCC Monoblock steel, or the NeoMag Alias system, with ride height and cant adjustment. Both right- and left-handed builds qualify for our fastest Quick Ship tier.
Light-Bearing: The railed Government exists to carry a light, and we mold around twenty dedicated fitments for it — the Streamlight TLR-1 / HL / HL-X, TLR-2, and TLR-7 series, Surefire X300U-A & B, XC1, XC2, and XC3, Inforce APL, APL 3.0 & WILD 1, Olight PL-Mini, PL-Mini 2, PL-2 & PL-Pro, and Sig Foxtrot1X & 2R. Frequently Asked Questions
Will this holster fit my Sig Sauer 1911?
No — Sig machines its 1911 slides on a proprietary rounded profile that doesn’t match the standard Government pattern. We mold the Sig TACOPS, SCORPION, and NIGHTMARE family a dedicated shell of its own; select it in the builder.
Will it fit my Colt railed 1911?
It depends on the rail — this fitment covers full-length Picatinny rails, and some Colt railed models run a shorter proprietary rail that won’t seat correctly. Contact us with your exact model before ordering and we’ll confirm.
Will a non-railed 1911 fit this holster?
No — the shell is molded around the rail, so a non-railed Government would leave the light channel unfilled and retention loose. We mold the non-railed Government 5″ its own dedicated fitment; select it in the builder.
Can I get a light-bearing railed 1911 holster?
Yes — that’s the point of the rail, and we mold around twenty fitments for it, from the TLR-1 through the Surefire X300 series. Select your exact light in the builder and the shell is formed to that combination.
