Why Sig 1911s Need Their Own Shell
Sig machines its 1911 slides on a proprietary profile — rounded at the top, external extractor, dimensionally distinct from the classic Government pattern. That’s why every standard 1911 fitment we offer is marked “NO SIG,” and why the Sig 1911 5″ TACOPS, SCORPION, and NIGHTMARE get a dedicated shell molded on the actual Sig slide. Retention clicks on your pistol, not on the 1911 an ordinary mold assumes you own.
Every Sig 1911 holster clears suppressor-height sights as standard, with optic accommodation for slide-milled red dots.
Carry Options for the Sig 1911 5″
Inside the Waistband (IWB): A steel 5″ gun carried daily demands real engineering — our IWB rig pairs the Sig 1911 with an in-house concealment claw and your choice of injection-molded clips, heat-treated DCC Monoblock steel, or the NeoMag Alias system, with ride height and cant adjustment. The slide’s length rides along the leg, and the single-stack slimness does the concealing.
Nidhogg OWB: The same dedicated Sig-slide fitment outside the waistband — range days, working carry, or the classic 1911 belt rig done in modern KYDEX®.

No — Sig’s proprietary slide profile doesn’t match the standard Government pattern, which is why ordinary 1911 holsters ride loose or refuse to seat on a Sig. Ours is molded on the actual Sig slide, dedicated to the TACOPS, SCORPION, and NIGHTMARE family.
