Ridgeline Drop with AR 15 Magazine Carrier.

The Ridgeline Drop Offset, Pouch “DrOP” was originally designed to increase Operator comfort by moving belt mounted magazine pouches lower and slightly offset, to clear body armor and provide a less impinged range of motion during reloads.  Designed and manufactured in the USA, the DrOP mounts to the belt using TekLok style attachments, and is compatible with most pouch types (ANR, TYR, HSGI, ESSTAC, GCODE, etc. ) or any KYDEX utilizing a TekLok Pattern. During testing and development, the DrOP endured multiple Military Free Fall (MFF) and Fast Rope (FRIES) operations, as well as daily Law Enforcement Patrol use, SWAT operations, and range use.

Compatibilities of the Ridgeline DrOP

The Ridgeline DrOP is an impressive piece of kit. The modular design is very clever, in the fact that it can receive both nylon styled magazine pouches with Molle, and standard style magazine carriers. ANR produces both Short Action Precision magazine carriers and 556 Universal AR patterned magazine carriers. Both product lines fit the Ridgeline DrOP.

Positioning Away From the Body

How often have you run into having your cummerbund or armor system riding on your magazine? It makes for an uncomfortable ride, and feeling. The magazine pushes your armor up on one side and the armor makes the magazine inaccessible. This mod allows the magazine to cant slightly away from the body. It doesn’t sit too far, just enough. See below.

As you can see, the Ridgeline DrOP creates the airgap necessary for adequate grip and indexing on the magazine. It allows the magazine to ride a hair lower, as well, allowing the end user to be less encumbered. When laying in the prone, the DrOP makes the magazine more accessible too, while giving the end user room to wiggle or S-shape the body while in the prone. The Ridgeline DrOP just makes it easier.

Ridgeline DrOP allows an airgap that allows for a more positive grip on the magazine.
