ANVL SHARUR FN 510 Compensator

$169.00

ANVL SHARUR FN 510 is our premier compensator for the FN 510 10mm pistol with threaded barrel. The ANVL SHARUR Compensator is a 3-piece assembly that comes with a castle nut torquing wrench. The ANVL SHARUR FN 510 Compensator achieves optimal compensation with heavy, high-pressure 10mm ammunition. It is recommended to run Underwood Ammunition or Buffalo Bore Ammunition that exceeds 600 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.
Sharur, which means “smasher of thousands” is the weapon and symbol of the god Ninurta. Sumerian mythic sources describe it as an enchanted talking mace. It has been suggested as a possible precursor for similar objects in other mythology such as Arthurian lore. We name our products after mythological clubs, maces, hammers, and blunt weapons!
The ANVL SHARUR FN 510 Compensator can be used on the FN 545, but the .45 ACP does not output enough energy to take advantage of the port size of this compensator. It has very little effect on escaping gasses, but the added weight on the muzzle does help with muzzle flip

GUNSMITHING DISCLAIMER:

The FN 510 dust cover tolerances can vary. The ANVL SHARUR Compensator may have an interference with the FN 510 dust cover. It is a VERY small interference because we chose to capture the protruding guide rod in the compensator assembly. The guide rod pocket is roughly 0.040 bigger than the slide’s recoil/guide rod flange.
Our host model had barely touched the dust cover and naturally removed a tiny amount of polymer with no issues. Some customers may have to remove slightly more polymer for the best fit. The ANVL SHARUR only tucks into the frame by 0.130 inches with a potential 0.040 inch interference. Mild sanding of the inside of the radius of the dust cover can relieve the interference (see photo below). We have spoken to FN America and they have assured us this gunsmithing modification will NOT void any warranties on the gun.

Installation Instructions:

Loctite Red, Vibra-tite, and Rocksett not included.

Step 1. Apply one dot of Red Vibra-tite or Rocksett to the last 3 threads of the barrel closest to the 90 degree shoulder of the barrel. Thread on the tapered barrel nut, and torque till the nut is unmoving against the 90 degree shoulder.
Step 2: Loosely position the ANVL SHARUR Compensator body over the threaded barrel and seat it on the tapered barrel nut.
Step 3: Press the Compensator tightly against the Tapered Barrel Nut and apply one dot of Red Vibra-tite or Rocksett to the exposed threads inside the port of the compensator, inside the overhang where the Castle Nut will be torqued to. Please note that the Castle Nut has a circumferential groove. This groove is where the tapered set screw will be aligned.
Step 4: Drop the Castle Nut (teeth facing the muzzle) into the ANVL SHARUR port and gently finger the Castle Nut on. Once loosley snug, place a flat, hard object on top of the compensator and slide to maintain alignment when torquing the Castle Nut.
Step 5: Drop the 1/4″ Drive Castle Nut Wrench Head into the port with the pins facing the teeth of the Castle Nut. Insert a 1/4″ torque wrench into the muzzle orifice of the Compensator, and gently press the drive into the box hole on the 1/4″ Drive Castle Nut Wrench Head. Once seated, torque the Castle Nut to 35-40 in-lbs.

Step 6: Verifying that the ANVL SHARUR Compensator is perfectly parallel to the slide, drop 1 dot of Red Vibra-tite or Loctite  (NO ROCKSETT) onto the tapered set screw, and begin tightening from the dust cover side of the Compensator using a 3/32 Allen Wrench. This is the alignment screw that keeps the timing of the Compensator, preventing the compensator from backing off. Torque the Alignment Screw to 15 in-lbs.

Step 7: Enjoy!

Comp works great. Preformance is flawless with multiple types of ammo. I just wish I didn’t have to modify the frame with a dremel. I purchased before the disclaimer was added to the website. The gun does not fit the anr holster I purchased before the comp. The comp is slightly wider than the frame and gets hung up.

thanks for the feedback & purchase

    • Alex Costa

We can muzzle cut the holster to allow comp to pass trough

Works extremely well with all ammo. The modification to the frame was so minimal, it’s literally unnoticeable. Install is easy and instructions are clear. At the time of this review I have 300 rounds of S&B, Magtech, Ammo Inc., and Underwood through mine. Nothing has come loose and I’m loving the lighter recoil impulse

Very pleased with the product. Very light sanding only and made shooting the FN510 a dream. Happily would recommend.

Just wanted to throw kudos towards yall on your FN 510 comp. I used it last night in an indoor match and recorded side view and pov view. I was amazed at how much improvement there was with full loads of 10mm. I was shooting my 10mm reloads of 180gr at 1300fps. I would’ve included a still photo from one of the videos to show the amount of gas being deflected, but there’s no attachment option. Awesome job!

Just installed the compensator on my new FN 510. It was an easy install just take your time on the lower when trimming it for the compensator to pass through. Overall great product and excellent quality.

      Thanks Bobby!!!!

What a wild difference this comp made. My FN 510 Tactical was not very enjoyable to shoot. It was very difficult to keep a good sight picture one the red dot due to recoil/muzzle rise. After installing the comp (install was very easy) the difference was night and day! I love shooting this thing now!

      Thank you Adrian!
