This is the simplest, yet most effective fix for the cant built into Safariland red-dot holsters that I have ever seen. Instead of using some sort of adapter plate or other method, they have simply built their hanger to reverse the cant built into the RDS holsters. This allows you to not only achieve a much more ergonomic and more efficient vertical draw, but it allows you to customize the exact amount of cant you may or may not want in your holster. Additionally it offers various mounting options, and it fits a 1.5″ belt! I’ve been using the standard UBL from Safariland for years, which is built for a 2″ belt and has far too much cant. The only issue I’ve had is with myself for waiting so long to purchase one!

Works as advertised. Haven’t had a chance to use it at the range yet but it’s mounted on my belt and seems to be better than a Safariland so far. I would recommend it!

Works as advertised. Haven’t had a chance to use it at the range yet but it’s mounted on my belt and seems to be better than a Safariland mount so far. I would recommend it!

Easy to install, very well engineered for function AND reliability. The cant makes it so much nicer.

  5. Alex P (verified owner)

Simple and effective with plenty of adjustability. Very solid and should work great.

    • Alex Costa

      Thanks Alex!

  6. Trevor (verified owner)

Had a True North Concepts MHA that gave me wicked hotspots. This ANR mount paired with the Vastus is the most comfortable setup I’ve used.

    • Alex Costa

      Thanks for the review Trevor!

Highly recommend to replace the UBL on a narrower belt. It completely removes the rocking and sliding on your belt. Additionally, it’s equally sturdy and the hardware is transferable.

Solid piece of kit. Mounted a Tier 1 holster with the new Safariland QRF system for a second battle belt setup. It gives the right amount of drop and offset from the body with the QRF.

    • Alex Costa

      Thanks Joe!

  9. Paul de Lemos (verified owner)

Great product! Fits my battle belt snugly. My only gripe is that I wish it had a little bend in the middle like the Safariland UBL so my pistol grip would be pushed away from my body. Unless you have no hips, your pistol grip will lean more toward your body. I guess this is my cue to slim down a little.

    • Alex Costa

Thanks for the feedback Paul, second person to ask for more curve. We might take you lads up on that

Only 4 star since I ordered a Coy, 1.75in belt in short configuration and received a Coy, 1 5/8in (actual measurement) belt in short….swing and a miss boys. They say anything will fit with the proper amount of force… obviously they never tried to put a 1.75 Esstac tegris core belt into a 1 5/8 belt slot or eat crayons. Here ends the Rant/Snarky review.

Molding was well executed and fit my swimmer/climber narrow profile and hips. Almost nothing is comfortable at my 3, this is. Could maybe have a bit more curve and I may do just that after I really try it out. They make heat guns for this..Ride height is slightly (1/2+) higher than the latest gen low ride offset from blade-tech. I do like their take on belt adjustments 1.5-2″ but it ends there. Super uncomfortable at my 3 and the offset I don’t care for. Those that run side plates take a looky see..or better yet hint hint, ANR dream up an offset mold option or even make up an add on for the existing. For my royalty fee, small shirts and hoodies, please and thank you. Unless you sell lots, then we talk holsters!

As for the 1 5/8in belt slot, I probs received the “1.5” mod. Not a big deal and not worth the trouble or wasted money to swap. I’m sure ANR would have taken care of me but they make files and sandpaper for this. A few min/patients, my outer belt fit and I even chamfered the slot as a whole, it is/was a bit edgy. If you read this to the end, gold star for you!

1.75 will be in the mail tomorrow. Feels great on double walled belts with liners! Thanks again for taking the time to write this. I wear one a few hours a day and no discomfort. How skinny are you? love to see pics of the setup

I wanted something light weight without sacrificing durability. This platform is exactly what I was looking for. Coupled with the leg strap adapter it is fantastic!

    • Alex Costa

      Thank you!

got it for my blue alpha belt and I love it easy to adjust the cant and is sturdy as shit

  13. Michael Y (verified owner)

I didn’t have issues with my safariland UBL wiggling in my 1.75 inch belt, as I have already added an adapter from RDR gear which eliminates the Slop. But i was interested in being able to adjust the angel of the cant and hopefully also at the same time give a slight drop in height on the leg compared to the Mid-Ride Safariland. It is definitely slightly lower than the Mid-ride safariland, and the cant of the system, ALONG with the cant built into the Safariland QLS system allowed for a much better angle of pull from the holster. The only complaint I have is that I tried transferring over my Qore Performance Ice Vent pad over. It does fit…but It isn’t a perfect fit. I may consider trying the True North concept since it does have an Ice Vent designed dedicated for it. However that piece is much more expensive.

I was very excited to finally get rid of the extra motion when unholstering, I ordered the 1.75 and unfortunately the one I received was about 15/16 short of two inches so I still have a small amount of play. I’m thinking on ordering the 1.5 size to see if that’s a more precise belt opening. Build seems very sturdy, and the offset it’s about perfect, it sits a bit lower than the original Sariland.

The plate itself was pretty nice but I would not trust it for duty use. I’ll definitely use it for training though. I have concerns about the QLS receiver plate that came with it though, it does not look like or feel like the ones I have that I know for sure came from Safariland.

    • Alex Costa

Thanks for your review. It’s used in duty and has been tested. We’ve had 2 older models break out of 10,000s and changed the design the add thicker wall thicknesses on the belt. Made from thicker KYDEX than safariland holsters. The QLS/Q22 are all factory QLS direct from Safariland. They are not any fakes on the market because Safariland has 192 patents on the QLS and even the radiuses used. Safariland has been in the crosshairs lately because their quality of components MAY have gone down. There has been a few accounts on instagram showing how to break your receivers. Bums us out we get 3/5 stars for unfounded data. We will take it in consideration for future revisions, if we do that.
