Custom KYDEX® Holsters for the Glock 40
The Glock 40 is the 10mm that goes where hiking boots go — a 6-inch MOS long-slide built for handgun hunting, hog country, and bear-aware backcountry carry. ANR Design builds custom KYDEX® Glock 40 holsters precision-formed in Manchester, NH on a dedicated G40 shell sized to the full long-slide, with MOS optic clearance standard — because nearly every G40 wears a red dot. Run it in the Nidhogg OWB for field carry or IWB if you’re committed, with around twenty molded weapon-light fitments available. Every build is made to order, priced and lead-timed live in the builder below.

Glock 40 Fitment & Compatibility
Our Glock 40 holsters are molded on a dedicated shell for the 6-inch 10mm long-slide — full-length coverage, MOS optic clearance, and suppressor-height sight channels as standard. A gun this size needs a shell formed to it specifically: retention on our G40 fitment clicks on the trigger guard with the same authority as every holster we build, and the long slide stays protected to the muzzle.
Carry Options for the Glock 40
Nidhogg OWB: The natural carry for a hunting 10mm — the dedicated G40 fitment outside the waistband, riding secure through brush, treestands, and long miles. Pair it with a red dot and a weapon light and the whole field setup carries as one molded unit.
Light-Bearing: Around twenty molded light fitments for the G40, including the Streamlight TLR-1 / HL / HL-X, TLR-2, and TLR-7 series, Surefire X300U-A & B, XC1, XC2, XC3, and XVL2, Modlite PL350, Inforce APL, APL 3.0, APLc & WILD 1, Olight PL-Mini, PL-Mini 2, PL-2 & PL-Pro, and Sig Foxtrot1X & 2R. Every shell is molded to the exact gun-and-light combination — a real advantage when your light is part of a hunting rig.
Inside the Waistband (IWB): Yes, we build it — and yes, people carry it. A 6-inch slide IWB is a commitment, but the length rides along the leg rather than against it, and our concealment claw, clip options, and ride-height adjustment make it as civilized as a full-house 10mm gets.
Spare Magazines: The G40 runs Glock 20-series 10mm magazines, covered on the large-frame fitment in our Pistol Mag builder.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the holster clear my red dot on the Glock 40 MOS?
Yes — MOS optic clearance is standard on every shell, plate-mounted or milled, along with suppressor-height sights, at no extra cost. The G40 is an optics gun and the holster is built assuming yours wears one.
Can I get a light-bearing Glock 40 holster for hunting?
Yes — around twenty molded fitments from the TLR-1 through the Surefire X300 series, each formed to the exact gun-and-light combination so the field rig carries as one unit. Select your light in the builder.
Do you make a chest holster for the Glock 40?
Not currently — our G40 platforms are OWB and IWB. Many backcountry carriers run our Nidhogg OWB on a belt-mounted field setup where a chest rig isn’t required.
Can I get a left-handed Glock 40 holster?
Yes — left-hand builds are fully supported and made to order alongside right-handed ones. The builder shows the exact lead time before you order.
What warranty comes with a Glock 40 holster?
Every ANR Design holster includes a free Lifetime Warranty on the KYDEX® shell for the original purchaser — automatic on every order, no registration.
