Glock 22 Fitment — Gen 2–4 vs Gen 5
Most holster makers sell one “Glock 22” fitment. We mold two: a dedicated shell for the Gen 2–4 models and a separate one for the Gen 5, because Glock changed the .40-caliber slide dimensions in the fifth generation and a shell molded for one won’t lock proper retention on the other. Will a Gen 4 Glock 22 holster fit a Gen 5?
No — Glock changed the .40-caliber slide dimensions in Gen 5, so we mold separate dedicated shells for Gen 2–4 and Gen 5. Select your generation in the builder to get the correct fitment.
I bought a police trade-in Glock 22 — will your holster fit it?
Yes — trade-in G22s are almost always Gen 3 or Gen 4, covered on our Gen 2–4 shell. Holster wear on the finish doesn’t affect retention; the shell indexes on frame and trigger guard geometry, which doesn’t change with use.
If I convert my G22 to 9mm with a conversion barrel, does the holster still fit?
Yes — conversion barrels change nothing externally, and the shell fits identically. The G22-to-9mm conversion is one of the most popular uses for a trade-in, and the holster comes along for free.
