The 509 Tactical runs on our 509-family shell — it shares frame and slide geometry with the 509 and 509 Midsize, and the Tactical’s signature features are handled by design: the threaded barrel rides through the open muzzle (thread protector on or off), the suppressor-height sights clear the sight channel, and a red dot on the LPOMS plate system clears as standard. Retention clicks on the trigger guard with full authority.
Running the 509C Tactical? The compact frame is its own geometry with its own dedicated shell — select it specifically in the builder.
Carry Options for the FN 509 Tactical
Inside the Waistband (IWB): Yes, people conceal the Tactical daily — the threaded barrel adds length, not width, and length rides along the leg. Our IWB rig pairs it with an in-house concealment claw and your choice of injection-molded clips, heat-treated DCC Monoblock steel, or the NeoMag Alias system.
