Smith & Wesson finally entered the market with the Shield X, a competitor to the SIG X-Macro and Glock 43X/48MOS. It comes standard with a 13+1 and 14+1 magazines. The platform is DIRECT MOUNT optic ready for RMSC cut, and has a high vis front sight post with blacked out rear. ANR Design has holsters ready to order for the Smith & Wesson Shield X.

The Smith & Wesson Shield X has a similar trigger to the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0, but scaled up. It is a decent trigger. Doesn’t check any fantastic boxes, but it a more straight profiled blade with a tight-to-frame design that prevents finger pinching.
Smith & Wesson Shield X Magazine Capacity

The Smith & Wesson Shield X comes with a 13+1, and 15+1 magazine standard. There are 10+1 capacity options available for prohibited states.
Smith & Wesson Shield X Barrel and Crown

Smith & Wesson Shield X has a beautiful barrel with a heavier profile and race crown. The Smith & Wesson Shield X race crown help divert gases forward, and away from the shooter. It also helps recoil control greatly.
Smith & Wesson Shield X Safety Selector

Smith & Wesson Shield X has a slightly low-profile and shielded safety. The safety is a bit stiff at first, but broke in quickly. Smith & Wesson Shield X comes with, or without a safety models available.
Aggressive Slide Serrations on the Shield X Slide
The Smith & Wesson Shield X has very aggressive slide serrations on the chamfers and rear cocking section. These slide serrations are very similar the the new Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0. The Smith & Wesson Shield X is essentially, a 9mm scaled up version of the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0.
