I have been running this holster for a few months carrying a SIG 229. Thus far it has lived up to my expectations.
I was apprehensive at first about the polymer claw with its added width since I carry at the 12 o’clock position. There has not been any difference in feel with this rig vs one with out the claw. The claw is a great added feature, especially when concealabity is a major factor.
Drawing and re-holstering the firearm is smooth which is a major advantage over a leather IWB holster.
Over all the holster is well built with quality and rugged hardware. Customer support was prompt and Professional.

Kydex quality, fantastic. Belt clip is robust. Claw looks solid, and made in the USA is stamped on it, so that is nice. Only thing that bothered me about it was the looseness of the claw side to side. I would think that would be pretty rigid, issue was resolved by wrapping electrical tape around the screws and trimming. This took up the slack within the screw cavities and made it more rigid. Other than that, it really conceals the firearm way more than non claw IWB’s.

I own both this (got it with the krypyek highlander camo) and an iwb from Alien Gear both for the IWI masada with a holosun red dot on it. There’s an option for an optics cut, and it conceals better than the Alien Gear that doesn’t currently offer an optics cut for the masada (it does for other platforms so I just cut the Alien Gear myself.) That said it is less comfortable than the Alien Gear. If it was as comfortable as the alean Gear I’d give it 5 stars and shop here exclusively for any iwb products in the future but as it stands I’ll likely shop both companies. Hope this helps someone.

Love the IWB with claw. It is flawless and the fit it spot on. I’m a lefty and the fit on my anatomy is such that the best location 6-12, is about a 7. It centers over my left back pocket and it’s great. Unfortunately there is no way that I can carry at the 10, 11, 12 positions and 9 is hard to conceal. 7 an 8 work, with 7 being the best for me. Don’t let the 4-star throw you, these are the best IWB holsters, and I’ve wasted a sizeable amount of money trying other brands. This is my second ANR, because the first (for my FN503) was absolutely perfect for appendix carry. The second, for my Springfield XDS, also fits beautifully, and doesn’t print. My ONLY issue, is with this second holster, where it leave over an inch of my slide exposed to my abdomen. Not that this is a fatal flaw, but it won’t be good for the finish over the long run, hence the 4-star rating. I hope ANR will fix this in the future. All in all, there are no better products available for your IWB holster needs. I have 2 more handguns I’ll be ordering for this Fall. Oh, did I mention how damned comfortable they are??

I like this holster a lot. Small, comfortable, secure, and the claw pulls the butt of my P365XL in nice and tight. The tension was spot on out of the package. I don’t carry AIWB but at 5 o’clock, and this fits nicely, and hides well for my frame. I’m not skinny but am 160# and 5′-9″ so not bony but also with nothing extra to help me conceal. This configuration works very well for me. I only run iron sights.

Holster fits perfect, except the thread protector on the elite combat barrrel would catch on the holster, 2 minutes trimming with a pocket knife and it slides in and out perfectly. This is my third Holster from AnR design and I wished I would of bought all my holsters from AnR. I am a big guy 6’ feet 300 pounds and appendix carry all day everyday and finding a good holster is hard. I am the type of guy that changes the ride hight and has to add a wedge right out of the box. I don’t want to name other big holster companies but they have never lived up to the hype for me. Just too bulky and ride too high. AnR holster always hits that sweet spot for me rides and conceals perfect. The best set up for me is a AnR holster with a DCC mono block clip and a diy wedge . My ridiculous self thought..it’s a firearm i can carry iwb (wrong) after receiving and attempting to carry it..it was waaayyy to heavy for conceal carry (5’10, 170 pounds)..eventually i started doing uspsa matches and thought hey..i could use this a ms a holster (no i can not) so now i have a product that i can’t use at all..just went into my holster bin..

The best holster I’ve ever owned…and I own about 6 from all different brands. I ordered an IWB Holster with an optic cut and claw. I always thought the claw was some kinda marketing gimmick because I was ignorant to what it did. However after about 3 months of using it…the way the claw pushes the gun closer to my body makes it more comfortable to carry and it conceals better. I carry a P80 in the (G19) size. So my other holster would print a lot in certain times depending on what I wore. I had a “We The People” holster and the retention was laughably loose and the belt clip wasn’t the best. I couldn’t really carry it with basketball shorts or sweatpants. I say all of this to say: buy once, cry once. Cheap isn’t always good. You never know the difference in quality till you take a leap of faith and upgrade. My other holster wasn’t even Kydex as they advertised. The materials are so VASTLY different it kinda blew me away. Since I’m adding a light to my duty gun, I’ll be shopping and recommending A&R to everyone in my inner circle.

i ordered an AIWB w/ the claw. the holster looks and feels great but i had an issue with the claw being slightly to low and it would slip off the belt line and go under the belt and get hooked. i messaged them, explained my issue and asked if they made a taller claw. they do not, but what they did for me was even better. i shipped the original back and they made me a brand new holster moving the claw up slightly fixing my issue. they didn’t have to do it, BUT THEY DID! great customer service, great holster.

Claw mounting holes unnecessarily large for screw OD, causing excessive ‘swing’ in the claw arm. Tightening these mounting screws also affects the retention, so either I have a loose, swinging claw or excessively tight retention of the firearm. Also, this holster lacks any adjustment to firearm concealment depth. For my body type (6′, 175lbs) I wanted to adjust the depth to move the muzzle off the pubic bone, which was causing pretty severe discomfort, so my only option is to make adjustments to how high/low I wear my pants, which is normally at the hip.
Materials and craftsman ship seem fine, outside of the claw issue. Shipping was fast, price was discounted due to holiday sale, which is what prompted me to give ANR a try. For background, I have multiple holsters for this CZ P01, which I have carried for over 6 years at this point. Normally carried IWB @ 3:30-4 in a Stealthgear ventcore mini.
I didn’t outright give up on this holster and have worn it in public for several hours on multiple occasions and with trying different locations between 12 and 1:30 on body, but haven’t been able to find a comfortable way to work with this.
I did give ANR a call to discuss and see what advice or options they might be able to offer. The call went to VM and I left a message, which wasn’t returned. I recognize their policy of ‘all sales final’ so I’m not complaining about that. I just thought that others might benefit from my experience. There are better options available from other manufacturers, which include concealment depth adjustability, isolation of retention adjustment, ‘hybrid’ materials, etc.

Our holsters are certainly geared more towards appendix. We try to get to the VM when we can. We have a chat service and you can send a ticket through CS using the contact page and will yield faster response times. We are a small shop and getting to the phone can be tough in a manufacturing facility.

Excellent holster! Only reason for not being 5 stars is there isn’t an option to select external safety/no external thumb safety. So for my S&W M&P with no safety, the holster still has the outward formed section in the top to accommodate one. Not a big deal, but it does make the very top of the holster facing the body a little less flat and streamlined than it could be. Retention is at a good level and the holster fits the pistol with the RDS well. I appreciate it coming with a second smaller interchangeable claw for adjustment in carry preference-

The holster I received is decent. It looks good on the outside, but looks a little sloppy on the inside. I won’t judge it for that though.
I have a couple issues with the holster, however. The first is that the groove for the iron sights is off center. Also, the holster rubs excessively on my slide. Both issues occur no matter how tight or loose the screws are set. And both issues cause kydex shavings to build up on my pistol.
The second issue I have is that the plastic clip has unclipped itself from my belt several times. That would be a huge issue in a self defense scenario. I hope the metal clip is better.
Overall, the holster is good enough. And I’m glad they make one for the P2000. But you may want to consider upgrading the clip.

We use molds and real guns for this model specifically. We make so few P2000 holsters so there are handmade nuances and a break-in period for the gun. Add some gun oil to the points of contact in the holster causing wear. Unclipping from the belt is indicative of a poor belt design for carrying a gun. The upgraded clip is great for NON gun-belts. What kind of belt are you running? Have you gotten the gun hot and run it from your holster in training?

It was very hard trying to locate a company that had the ability to produce a holster for my FN. When I ran across ANR Design I did notice that they were the highest priced in the market, but it was well worth the cost. The grip highly aggressive and the IWB holster hides the full size weapon and keeps the handguard off my bare skin. Will be buying from this company again.

I would like to preface my review by articulating that I had worked for a holster company for a couple of years.
I was skeptical at first as to whether or not I was a fan of not having the means to adjust the cant or ride height however, I will say that the ride height on my Cz 75 PCR is perfect. I thought it would be much more difficult to conceal the pistol without the aforementioned means and I was entirely mistaken. I would say this holster, with the claw, allows me to conceal the CZ to the same degree that my holster for G43 (no extensions/flushfit mag) with no claw; further, I would have to carry my G48 (with a comp/also flushfit mags) on the lowest ride height with any of my other holsters with a claw and it still would not conceal as nicely as the ANR holster that I purchased. I am now a huge fan and plan to order holsters from them for all of my other needs/wants. Whenever asked for a recommendation, I will point this way.

Old guy with his first pistol; H&K VP9SK, factory installed Holosun red dot. Figured if I bought a carry gun I should carry. To take classes and learn how to carry responsibly I needed a holster. I read tons of stuff and ran cross ANR in some obscure blog. Must have put this AIWB holster in a cart and got cold feet a dozen times. Finally just bought it with the mag holder to boot. It took a long time to get it, but I wasn’t in a hurry as I’d not even signed up for classes yet. Got it two days ago; first day I hooked it to the casual belt I’d worn to work and it was uncomfortable. Second day I hooked it to a proper EDC belt (had just arrived in the mail) and just hung around the house. Unloaded, just getting used to it. Thoughts on it before locking up the tool for the night. I like it, it’s my first so I don’t have any holster experience to compare to but it looks nice, it fits nice, the hardware, fit, and finish all look to be top notch, and just like the ANR YouTube vid said; get a real belt. A proper EDC belt made all the difference in comfort and the rig feels right on my waist. I look forward to taking some classes and getting comfortable with my new stuff. I have zero buyers remorse and will purchase from ANR again without question.

Needed an appendix holster for a Browning Hi Power, and ANR is about the only game in town, so tried this product for the first time. Holster itself is great. Plenty of room for extended/wide thumb safeties like Novak’s. Is quite comfortable and conceals very well, with one caveat. The top/front corner of the clip stands very proud and prints a fair bit in lighter shirts. It’s not a huge deal and can be mitigated, but I intend to try the DCC mono clip as a fix. I bought a second ANR holster for a Glock since this one works so well with the Hi Power.
