Engineered Survivability

WE DON’T JUST BEND PLASTIC. WE ENGINEER SOLUTIONS.
The origin

From a hobby to a defense contractor

ANR Design began in 2015 as a hobby, born from a dissatisfaction with the current market offerings. What started in a spare room has evolved into a premier manufacturing facility in New Hampshire.

We didn’t set out to just make another holster. We set out to solve problems for the end-user. By integrating CAD design, CNC molds, and vacuum forming technology early on, we separated ourselves and established ANR as a leader in retention systems.

The ANR Design logo originated from a tattoo Alex had tattooed on him years before the company started, Fugen Bosatsu. Similar to a zodiac or protective talisman, Fugen Bosatsu is the central symbol of the logo. The three points of the logo are the Ronin symbol, a wandering samurai who had no lord or master. Being masterless is an important ideology. It gives the meaning of individualism. The pair of symbols in the logo mean “Defensive Masterless Warrior”, to the owners Jon and Alex. Carve your own path, and answer to no man.

The Manufacturing Edge

A worldwide solutions provider.
01

Cad & Design

Every holster starts in digital space. We work directly with manufacturers and that allows us to acquire precise 3D models of firearms, lights, launchers systems, ordnance and more. This allows our engineering team to create cutting plates and vacuum plates that offer precise retention points.
02

CNC Precision

We cut our own molds in-house. Our CNC capabilities allow us to iterate designs in hours, not weeks. This controls the quality from the raw aluminum block to the final KYDEX® shell.
03

Automation

ANR utilizes advanced proprietary forming methods and automated cutting stations. This ensures that the 10,000th holster we ship is exactly the same dimensions as the 1st one. Consistency is our currency.

Expanding the Ecosystem

Our obsession with manufacturing led to the creation of ANVL Manufacturing. Moving from thermoplastics to 7075 Aluminum and 4140 Steel, ANVL produces hard-use firearm components that complement our holster lines.
